The High Prophet of Truth, also called Truth for short, is a main character of the series. He is a primary antagonist of the Halo series.
Appearance[]
Truth looks like an old, withered man with a craned neck and a triangular, robed body. He has short feet and no visible hands. He wears a crown and sits in a hoverchair.
Story[]
Truth held equal power with his fellow High Prophets, Regret and Mercy, but after their deaths at the hands of the Future Writer, he took over the Covenant on his own and invaded Earth in search of the Ark. After discovering the device, his key is stolen by Master Chief. The key is then used by the Future Writer to activate the structure. After the Future Writer tells Truth that the Halos will kill him and everyone else, Truth declares him a heretic, leading the Future Writer to kill Truth by grabbing his neck and electrocuting him.
